A nice wrap up of the UBS HKO Charity Cup 2015 with a cheque presentation of HK$2.4M to our 3 beneficiaries – Autism Partnership Foundation, InspiringHK Sports Foundation and Playright Children’s Play Association. Thanks to the enthusiasm of our donors, the total amount of funds raised from the event well surpassed our target of HK$2M and was evenly split between the beneficiaries.
Autism Partnership Foundation will be using the funds to launch 2 programs to help support individuals with ASD and their families – Parent Training Program and Intensive One-Month Applied Behavioral Analysis (ABA) Therapy Treatment Program for low-income families in Hong Kong.
InspiringHK Sports Foundation will use the funds to kickstart the “Golf Inspires” program – a 2-year golf program for youths from low-income families in the Northern District of Hong Kong. Through this program, they hope to help encourage kids from underprivileged families to participate in sports as well as to help promote golf as a sport to a wider section of the public.
Playright Children’s Play Association will use the funds to continue their outreach program – Hospital Play Service at the pediatric ward of the Caritas Medical Centre. This program provides young hospitalised patients with therapeutic play services to help them and their families deal with illness and medical treatments.
